Role:
The Director of Sales will be responsible for owning management of our Sales function, including a team of Account Executives and relevant targets. This includes target setting, pipeline management, developing a sales playbook, compensation and ensuring the cadence and operational rigor of running the Sales organization is established. The Director of Sales will work closely with Success & Onboarding, Operations, Billing, Partnerships and Marketing.


The ideal candidate will be able to deliver results, complete ownership of work and outputs, find a way to work through barriers, and work efficiently. We’re looking for someone to think analytically about the business, have a critical eye for detail, and have high expectations and standards.


This is a fast-paced and evolving sales environment that requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and an ability to drive urgency in our team. The right candidate will possess superb analytical skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategically lead, develop, motivate and coach the Sales team
  • Monitor and implement sales processes to improve efficiency and ensure targets are being met on a monthly basis
  • Establish accountability among our Account Executives including overall targets, outbound lead generation and other KPIs
  • Drive revenue by establishing and implementing best practices for maximizing pipeline creation and forecasting accuracy
  • Monitor and implement sales processes to improve efficiency and ensure targets are being met on a monthly basis
  • Lead strategic planning for your team including: account tiering, outbound prospecting, deal strategy development, and ongoing sales enablement
  • Work closely with Marketing on opportunity generation, sales enablement and content
  • Work closely with Success & Onboarding on our post-sales handoff process and expansion opportunities requiring sales involvement
  • Work closely with Operations and Billing on sales operations processes
  • Work closely with Partnerships to ensure agency-or tech-partner driven opportunities are handed off properly


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7+ years experience of demonstrated success in a consultative selling role within the mid-market SaaS world
  • Startup DNA; You are a do-er and a creator, not just a thinker; driven, relationship-focused, people person
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales performance metrics, e.g. quotas, pipeline, forecast accuracy
  • Strong analytical ability, experience with detailed sales tracking, pipeline analysis, win/loss analysis, etc.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills; professional demeanor, and ability to effectively present and negotiate with stakeholders
  • A Bachelor's degree (or commensurate experience) in Business, preferably Marketing and Sales
  • Thrives (demonstrated) working in a distributed/independent environment
  • Expertise in executing and developing team expertise around outbound sales - outbound is a crucial part of our sales function
